FAQ & MORE

  • How do I get a kitten/cat from you?

You can either fill out an application, or email/reach out to us on social media to express your interest and to see if there is a waitlist at the moment. We'd love to talk to you and get to know you before going forward. You can keep up with our availability here.

If there is a waitlist in the moment, then we will email you to ask what your preference is in breed, color, and sex. When a kitten of your preference is available, we will reach out to contact you. If there is no waitlist at the moment, we will email you to ask which of the available kittens you'd be interested in, OR if you would like to wait for a specific one.

Afterwards, a deposit of 20% must be sent to hold the kitten. The deposit will go toward your final purchase price and is NOT refundable, unless in very special cases. Every deposit we've ever taken goes immediately into vetting costs for the kittens, so rest assured we're not here to pocket it for no reason.

  • How much are your kittens/cats?

Kittens start at $1200 (Nonstandard Munchkins) & retired breeders start at $500 (Any breed). This price changes based off the breed or age, please get in touch if you'd like to know. Standards are more expensive. But, we do not upcharge for specific body colors or eye color.

Please keep in mind that for a registered, caring cattery, our prices are extremely competitive and already on the lower end for what we offer.

What you also get from a responsible cattery is predictability and support. There are many stories of kittens adopted from backyard breeders that have fallen ill quickly because they were improperly cared for and succumbed to disease, or they showed genetic issues later on in life because the breeder opted not to health test their cats.

Even if you do not choose to go forward with us, please research and go with a registered, proven, cattery. Saving a few dollars now could mean costing thousands of dollars in the future.

  • Do you transport your kittens? Where are you located?

We are located in the Bay Area, California. and we deliver from Fresno, California to Portland, Oregon at no cost to the adopter. We started our cattery in Oregon and still have friends in the area there (so we’re always happy to go up when we can)!

From time to time, we will send our kittens/cats to new parents outside the west coast, if it aligns in timing and makes sense for us to make the trip (or if a flight nanny is hired). These trips are subject to air cabin pet fees and minor additional transit fees. We partner with a few excellent pet nannies that we are happy to suggest to you. We do have pet parents all over the US to both kittens and retired adults. All of our kittens do amazing in car and air travel, so don't worry about them. We take a million steps beforehand to ensure they're safe and comfortable the entire time.

If you wish to pick up your kitten from us, we service San Francisco International Airport, Oakland International Airport, and San Jose International Airport.

  • What does my kitten/cat come with?

Kittens will be vaccinated three times, spayed/neutered, vet checked, dewormed, microchipped and a TICA pedigree will be provided upon request. In the rare cases a kitten goes home before we can do the rabies and 3rd shot, we will stipend those costs for you. We do not sell kittens with breeding rights. We offer lifetime breeder support, so if you got a cat from us years ago, you can still text me with any questions you have. Parental testing is readily available on our website as well.

All kittens will be socialized and litterbox trained, and come with a one year health guarantee against all genetic conditions.

Each kitten will come with a free transitional kit that will ensure he or she has a safe and welcome transition to a new home. These include raw, wet, and dry foods, alongside toys, blankets, etc, and a guide on how to take care of your new family member! We also will send you home with a free month of pet insurance with Trupanion.

  • How should I prepare for my kitten/cat?

Kittens are ready to go home between 12 to 16 weeks of age, per TICA's code of ethics. We will NEVER let them go any earlier, so please do not ask. We VERY rarely let them go younger than 16 weeks, especially for the munchkins, and will only do so in extreme/special cases. Why? Early weaning and early removal of kittens from their litter can result in behavioral issues, per this scientific study I've linked.

We suggest setting up a small room for your new family member for the first few days your kitten will be home. Most kittens will adapt quickly, but some may be frightened and confused by the new smells and new space and will require some time to decompress. As they grow more accustomed to you, your family, and your space, you can start introducing them to more rooms over time. If you have another pet, it is required in our contract to quarantine and introduce slowly. I've written out the best way to transition your new kitten here.

I would pre-order the food we suggest ahead of time, and set up an automatic water fountain! All of our cats are fed on schedule and have unlimited access to fountains.
